My
name is Brandon K, I am at King
David Sandton. I enjoyed that
session because we could create
anything we wanted so I just did
what I liked and it landed up
being very nice, and I love
computers.

Hi.
I live in Gabarone, Botswana,
Africa and it is really hot here.
It is a small city which you can
hardly call a city.
There
are a few shops and things around
but not too much in that sort of
area. No major malls or anything
but a few good book shops with the
odd computer book. There probably
are more computer shops around but
I haven't found them yet.
I
am busy learning pascal on my
computer and hopefully I will
learn C++ and Delphi soon. I know
quite a bit of Qbasic thanks to
Knowledge Network and the
internet. I make simple maths
games
with pascal and Qbasic and have
just received my beginers pascal
programming certificate from
school. Soon I will be recieving
my advanced certificate from Price
Water House Coopers.
Computing
is not extremely big in Gabs but I
am told that if you look hard
enough there are places to be
found. The phone lines aren't the
fastest and the greatest but is
surfable. Every time it rains
which isn't too often, everything
fails and the internet goes down,
the phone lines go down,
electricity sometimes fails.
I
do play games like many of you I
am sure, but I also program. At
the moment i am playing a game
called Dark Stone and am almost
finished. If any of you have
played it I am sure you will agree
that it is addictive. If you
haven't played it or got it that
is one title that you should put
on your wish list. I do play other
games but my favourite games are
strategy, rpg and shoot em up. |

Knowledge
Network Web Site for 2000 - Review
by
Trevor Kendal |
|
This is the best
site I have seen, the links work at least. It's
fast. It's cool. There is an easy interface. The
navigation system is easy to use. It brought back
many memories (very good memories).
Good old Conference
95 - the best ever! By the way, it was Gerry who
started the flying mouse pads --
read the story.
I am starting with
Online VB, then Delphi, then C++ -
that's me for this year. |
